The euro market refers to a financial market in which currencies—including the U.S. dollar and others—are deposited and traded outside their countries of origin. It originally developed as a market for Eurodollars (U.S. dollars held in banks outside the United States) and has since expanded to include a wide range of currencies and financial instruments.
