A decentralized network is a type of network structure in which control, data processing, and decision-making are distributed across multiple nodes rather than being managed by a single central authority. Each node in the network can operate independently while still communicating and collaborating with others, increasing resilience, reliability, and security by reducing single points of failure. Examples of decentralized networks include blockchain systems and peer-to-peer file sharing networks.
