Arkham is a fictional city created by author H. P. Lovecraft, often used as a setting in his Cthulhu Mythos stories. It is typically depicted as a gloomy New England town associated with supernatural occurrences and is home to the fictional Miskatonic University. The name “Arkham” has since been adopted in other works of fiction, most notably as “Arkham Asylum” in the Batman universe.
