Tavus Launches AI Office Agents That Can Work, Meet, and Speak for You​


A San Francisco–based AI startup, Tavus, has introduced a new generation of real-time AI agents capable of attending meetings, managing tasks, speaking on video calls, and interacting naturally across work applications. The system effectively allows companies to “hire” AI employees that operate independently and adapt to each user’s workflow.

AI Agents That See, Listen, React, and Work Autonomously​


Tavus calls its agents PALs — Personal Affective Links. These AI coworkers can join video calls, observe shared screens, interpret emotional cues, and take action without human supervision. Whether scheduling meetings, writing emails, or conducting full video conversations, the agents respond in less than one second thanks to a fully optimized real-time processing pipeline.

Each agent maintains conversational memory, adapts to the user’s tone and preferences, and reacts to non-verbal signals through the camera. They function as persistent digital colleagues that learn over time and automate entire categories of work.


A Three-Model Architecture Behind the “Live” AI Experience​


Tavus’ real-time experience is powered by three specialized AI models:

  • Phoenix-4: Generates photorealistic faces with natural micro-expressions and emotional control.
  • Sparrow-1: Analyzes voice timing and prosody, deciding when the agent should speak or pause.
  • Raven-1: Interprets gestures, eye movements, facial expressions, and everything happening in screen-share sessions.

Together, they enable seamless video interactions that feel closer to a live conversation than a scripted AI response.

Integration With Real Workflows​


The agents can connect directly to calendars, email clients, CRMs, learning systems, and other workplace software. Once connected, they can autonomously handle tasks such as replying to messages, sending reports, onboarding users, or guiding customers through troubleshooting steps.

The system also supports over 30 languages, making it suitable for international companies and cross-border operations.


Already Used by Large Enterprises​


Several organizations have already deployed Tavus agents at scale. The education platform iAsk uses AI tutors to assist more than 22,000 students each month. Consultancy firm EY is incorporating the technology into employee training, allowing staff to practice skills with adaptive AI instructors that respond in real time.

Because the platform operates through a simple API, companies can embed lifelike AI agents into their own apps or customer service systems in a matter of hours.
